MONSTER POEM

MONSTER POEM

I can see it the wall
it’s rough skin
simulates the toughness of steel
its speed equivalent
to the shrill heart rat
of it’s
unfortunate prey
it haunts my bedroom
like a ghost but
more threatening
for it can walk on walls
like a stealthy
cat burglar
its razor sharp teeth
able to devour insects
as if they were innocent
fleeing people
its deadly tongue
shoots out like a bullet
at any sign of a hopeless
victim
for it’s senses match
the nose of a German Shepherd
sniffing down a crime scene
this deadly creature
has many enemies
but none can challenge
the sheer ferocity
of this reptilian
deathtrap
it has no or shant
need
any claws to
rip it
those who dare defy
it limb from
limb like
a cheetah
devouring an
elephant
it has
no trouble
leaving its horrible
crushing
dark
rocky den
to terrorize its enemies
like a horrible denizen of
the deep approaching
a dazed
man on a
tube
  hot climates aren’t
the only place you’ll find this beast
you’ll also
find it
IN
YOUR
NIGHTMARES

  1. Really good! I like how you made it narrow and long. Creative! I still don't know what it is though. :D
